Are you using the right tool for the job?

Your students need... a tool that's intuitive and easy to use, yet still provides many powerful and exciting features. A system that builds confidence and motivation as it guides them through the process of building a DiDA ePortfolio to showcase their talents.

Your ICT staff need... a tool that's simple to use and administer, yet still provides valuable management features. A system that effortlessly helps them monitor the progress of their student's DiDA ePortfolios and provides a structured framework for teaching.

Your school or college need... a tool that's cost effective and sustainable. A system they can plan and afford to use for years to come.

DiDAfolio is the right tool for the job - simple yet powerful and designed specifically for the DiDA qualification.

Your students MUST produce an ePortfolio as part of their summative project whether they are taking the Award (AiDA), Certificate (CiDA) or the full Diploma (DiDA) - DiDAfolio will simplify and streamline the entire process.

This website is designed to give you an overview of DiDAfolio - if you have 30 minutes available in your schedule we recommend a face-to-face "Solved in 30 minutes!" demonstration.

Screencasts & Screenshots

We've created a series of short screencasts (animated walk-throughs like the menu example above) and screenshots that give you a good feel for the DiDAfolio user-interface and show how simple it is to use.

Summative project briefs

A Summative Project Brief (SPB) substitutes for a formal examination. It is a project brief set by Edexcel and is the means by which students' attainment is assessed. Students are expected to spend approximately 30 hours of classroom time working on a project.

The SPB is not a vehicle for teaching the course. Teachers should act as 'line managers' to students working on an SPB. They can monitor their progress, offer advice, make suggestions for improvement etc. If students require additional support and guidance this must be reflected in the marks they are awarded.

Identification

SPBs are identified by their unit number and the month of release. For example, the D201 brief published in September 2006 is identified as D201 SPB0906.

All existing briefs have been re-titled to match this convention.

Life span

SPBs have a limited life span. Those issued in September 2005 (0905) are valid for moderation in January 2007, June 2007 and January 2008. Those issued in September 2006 (0906) will be valid for moderation in June 2007, January 2008, June 2008 and January 2009. The next set of project briefs will be released in September 2007 (0907) and will be valid for moderation in June 2008, January 2009, June 2009 and January 2010.

SPBs that are no longer valid have been archived and may be used for practise purposes.
